Wild Ones River City Chapter promotes biodiversity through sound landscaping with native plants.

Wild Ones is a national, volunteer powered, non-profit environmental education and advocacy organization. The River City-Grand Rapids Area Chapter formed in 2007 and is one of eleven chapters in Michigan which promote the benefits of native plants and sustainable landscape practices.

We are dedicated to the conservation of biodiversity through preservation and restoration of our natural areas. In addition, we support and organize local community efforts to develop natural areas of learning through the national Seeds for Education Grant Program.

Our steadily growing membership is composed of citizens who possess varying levels of plant and gardening knowledge—from beginner to advanced. We share a common interest and concern for the environment and strive to learn from each other and from the informative programs and field trips offered to us each month.

Visitors are always welcome as we explore our natural environment, you do not need to be a member to attend our programs, but your membership dollars help our local chapter make the programs we all enjoy available.

You are invited to learn with us, share our passion for native plants and join us in the diverse activities we are involved in within our community—YOU can help us make a difference!
