It was a very warm night in the native plant garden on Cherry Street, but people of all ages came out to stroll through the garden, talk to experts, and pick up educational material. The bonus was that they were given a free native plant to take home.
Visitors also enjoyed a beer across the street at Brewery Vivant. The Brewery donated $1 for every beer sold that day to River City Wild Ones (RCWO)?a grand total of $720! Thank you Brewery Vivant for sponsoring us!
All in all, it was a very successful event for RCWO spreading awareness for using native plants in the landscape?even in an urban setting.
