QUART POT

Light: Partial Sun, Shade

Moisture: Medium

Soil: Loam

Height:  1 foot

Bloom Season: April, May

Bloom Color: Lavender, Blue

Notes: Jacob’s Ladder has small lavender-blue flowers that bloom early, providing a reliable nectar source and pollen for the first pollinators of the season. Jacob’s Ladder will grow in full sun only if it has adequate moisture, but it prefers almost full shade woodlands and partial shade woodland edges. In a garden border, the north side of a house is a good spot to plant Jacob’s Ladder. Its lush foliage stays green throughout the summer. Mature plants are somewhat deer resistant. Mulch with leaves in the fall.
