Notes:
Purple Love Grass is low-growing perennial, warm season grass. It thrives in dry, sandy or gravelly soils—even roadsides that receive road salt in the winter. Purple Love Grass is Black Walnut tolerant. It turns a brilliant, hazy, purplish-pink at the end of summer—so plant for a late summer show! It is a great choice for a dry landscape or in rock gardens.
Eragrostis spectabalis is a host plant for the Zabulon Skipper butterfly.
