Notes:

Rose Milkweed grows best in moist soil, but will tolerate average soils. It blooms for about a month in mid-summer. After flowering, the plant forms large green pods that will break open to reveal seeds that blow away in the wind.

Benefits pollinators, butterflies, and birds. Host Plant for Monarch butterfly caterpillars. Also attracts Swallowtail butterflies, Greater Fritillaries, skippers, bumblebees. Deer resistant. Also called Swamp Milkweed.
