Notes: Favorite for pollinators especially hummingbirds! Occurs naturally in wetlands. Parent plants will not live for more than a few years, but it self-seeds prolifically with good seed-to-soil contact and is a fast grower. Direct sow in seed in early spring or fall. Otherwise, Cardinal Flower may need replanting every few years—but well worth it. Deer resistant.
